yes, with wavecom you have two options, wither you can program the modem itself or you can use AT commands.

WIP provides TCP/IP stack for your modem to make things work.

Mr. Shailesh Nayak is too busy to help at the moment
(bhai bura mat manna.. par tu kabhi aata hi nahi forum ko )

but to start with...

well now i remember... WMOD was a name used by wavecom some time ago..

now it has changed to fasttrack..
the fasttrack supreme costs around 6k+
whereas the same modem Q24Plus wud cost u half of it.. so next time remmeber to choose q24plus

anyways..

connect to hyperterminal and check version of firmware..

u will find either 655 or 657 kinda response..
please let us know the exact response..

now since you are using the name WMOD your firmware might be the old 655 which doesnt support WIP (shailesh plz. correct me if wrong)..

but there is a different option with it.

you could use edsoft library for the HTTP and all other issues..

now to obtain the software (OPen AT suite)...
u neednt download it.. it is distributed free of cost, but after an NDA signed by wavecom and you..
ask your dealer more about it.

if u get hold that suite.. the programming will be relatively easier

Thanks Shyam, actually I bought this modem from Ebay instead of dealer/distributor. Thats the reason I do not have any bill/warranty for the same.

Can you please let me know the AT command to determine the firmware of the modem using Hyperterminal?

FYI: This modem support Open AT suite.

Please find attach few docs that might help you to figure out more info about WMOD modem.

use ATI3 to get firmware version.

If you use openAT suit you will feel its much simpler to use and with lesser components on board.
