help for digital photoframe

hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, i m developing a digital photoframe using ARM processor.....

i want to know if i can use PIC for this....

i am very new to project making thats y if u have any kind of detail regarding this please mail me....

well for digital photo frame there are three main things..

1. Image decode
2. Storage
3. LCD Display

Depending hardware you are going to use for display and file format for storage you can select controller.

i want to process only jpeg images...
i want to know if i can use any 8bit or 16bit processor in place for ARM for simplicity, if u have any idea or link regarding this project please reply....
